  8.     All versions of AUTOMAXX, including this version, are not public domain
  9.     software, nor are they free software.
  10.  
  11.     AUTOMAXX (R) is copyright (C) 1986-1990 by The Computer Enhancement
  12.     Group.  All rights reserved worldwide.
  13.  
  14.     Non-registered users  are  granted  a limited  license to  use AUTOMAXX
  15.     for a 30 day period for the sole purpose of evaluating the software for
  16.     its  suitability to their needs.  Use  of  AUTOMAXX,  except  for  this
  17.     limited purpose, requires registration.  Use  of non-registered  copies
  18.     of AUTOMAXX by any person, business,  corporation,  governmental agency
  19.     or other entity institution is STRICTLY FORBIDDEN.

  21.     Registration grants the user a license to use AUTOMAXX only on a single
  22.     computer; a registered user may use the program on a different computer,
  23.     but may not use the program  on more than one computer at the same time.
  24.  
  25.     No  user  may  modify  AUTOMAXX in any way, including but not limited to
  26.     decompiling, disassembling or otherwise reverse engineering the program.

  28.     All users  are granted  a limited license to  copy AUTOMAXX only for the
  29.     trial use of others  subject  to  the  above  limitations, and  also the
  30.     following:

  32.          AUTOMAXX must  be copied in unmodified form, complete with the file
  33.          containing this license information.
  34.  
  35.          The full AUTOMAXX documentation must be included with the copy.
  36.  
  37.          No fee, charge or other compensation  may be  accepted or requested
  38.          by any licensee.
  39.  
  40.          AUTOMAXX  may  not  be  distributed  in  conjunction with any other
  41.          product.

  43.     Operators of electronic bulletin board systems (Sysops) may post version
  44.     3.20 archived in the ZIP file format (AMAXX320.ZIP) for downloading by
  45.     their users only as long as the above conditions are met.

  47.     Distributors of public domain or user  supported software  may distribute
  48.     copies of AUTOMAXX subject  to the  above conditions only after obtaining
  49.     written permission from The Computer Enhancement Group.   Such permission
  50.     usually is granted; please write for details.

  58.                                     WARRANTY

  61.     The Computer Enhancement Group makes no warranty of any  kind, express or
  62.     implied, including  without limitation, any warranties of merchantability
  63.     and/or fitness for a particular purpose.   The Computer Enhancement Group
  64.     shall not be liable for any damages, whether direct, indirect, special or
  65.     consequential arising from a failure of  this program  to operate  in the
  66.     manner desired  by the user.  The Computer Enhancement Group shall not be
  67.     liable for any damage to data or property which may be caused directly or
  68.     indirectly by use of the program.

  70.     IN NO  EVENT WILL The Computer Enhancement Group BE LIABLE TO YOU FOR ANY
  71.     DAMAGES, INCLUDING ANY LOST PROFITS, LOST SAVINGS OR  OTHER INCIDENTAL OR
  72.     CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES  ARISING OUT  OF YOUR  USE OR  INABILITY TO USE THE

  78.                     U.S. GOVERNMENT RESTRICTED RIGHTS

  81.     The SOFTWARE and documentation is provided with RESTRICTED RIGHTS. 
  82.     Use, duplication, or disclosure by the Government is subject to
  83.     restrictions as set forth in Federal Acquisitions Regulation (FAR)
  84.     clause 52-227-19, COMMERCIAL COMPUTER SOFTWARE --
  85.     RESTRICTED RIGHTS (JUN 1987).

  91.                               ORDERING INFORMATION

  95.     An AUTOMAXX registration licenses you to use the  product on a regular
  96.     basis.  Registration includes:
  97.     
  98.          o  A Custom Install program for customizing the AUTOMAXX color
  99.             screens and other features.
  100.             
  101.          o  The latest version of the program.
  102.          
  103.          o  A printed bound reference manual.
  104.  
  105.          o  Mailed notification of updates.
  106.          
  107.          o  Priority telephone support.
  108.          
  109.     Upon registration the licensee is granted a limited license to use
  110.     AUTOMAXX on the number of computers allowable according to the license
  111.     fee paid.  Users need register only  one version  of AUTOMAXX;
  112.     registration includes licensed use of all upgrades.

  117.     For orders outside the U.S., please add an additional $5.  Payment is
  118.     by either an international money order payable in U.S. currency, or 
  119.     by a check drawn on a U.S. bank.

  121.     PURCHASE ORDERS accepted for orders of at least $100; quantities less
  122.     than $100 must be prepaid.
  123.      
  124.     Maryland residents please add 5% state sales tax.

  126.     For commercial site license orders, please enclose a signed copy of
  127.     the site license agreement.

  132.                              AUTOMAXX LICENSE

  135.      The use of AUTOMAXX by an individual, a business, corporation, or
  136.      government entity is granted under the following terms:
  137.  
  138.      1.  Payment of the license fee must be made to The Computer Enhancement
  139.          Group.    The fee is based on the number of computers which will be
  140.          used to run AUTOMAXX, as follows:
  141.  
  142.                     1 -  10  copies    $45 each
  143.                    11 -  50  copies    $40 each
  144.                    51 - 150  copies    $35 each
  145.                   151 - 250  copies    $30 each
  146.                   251 - 500  copies    $25 each
  147.                   501 -      copies    $17 each
  148.  
  149.      2.  You may use AUTOMAXX on the number of computers included in the
  150.          license fee.

  152.      3.  You may make archival copies of the program, in its original,
  153.          unmodified form, without restriction.
  154.  
  155.      4.  You may use future versions of AUTOMAXX under this license.  The
  156.          latest version is available from The Computer Enhancement Group
  157.          for a small service charge.
  158.  
  159.      5.  You may NOT modify the program or charge a fee for copying or
  160.          distributing the program.

  162.      6.  AUTOMAXX may not be distributed in conjunction with any other
  163.          product unless written permission is granted by The Computer
  164.          Enhancement Group.
  165.  
  166.      7.  It is your responsibility to make the necessary copies and to
  167.          deliver them to the computers on which they will be used.
